About Us
                           Q&A
Does Cherokee Citizens for Property Rights favor pro-growth or slow growth?  Neither.
CCPR wants to protect the property rights of landowners in Cherokee County.  Our goal is to
bring like-minded people together to make sure our view is considered in public decisions
related to property rights.

What is your position on the Comprehensive Land Use plan?  For many reasons, we reject
the draft plan as too restrictive and inflexible. We hope to work closely and in a positive way
with the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners to address the flaws in the current plan
that would be so devastating to many of our fellow property owners.

Is CCPR just for East Cherokee County?  No. People from all of Cherokee County are
welcome to join and support our group.  We are concerned with property rights all across
Cherokee County.

Mission Statement
We, the interested citizens of Cherokee County, Georgia, have
formed Cherokee Citizens for Property Rights, LLC (CCPR) in
an effort to speak to county government with a unified voice on
issues affecting our rights as property owners.

Property rights in this country, state, and, particularly,
Cherokee County are under assault from individuals and
groups that would take rights from us for their own interests
and benefits. We will combat any and all attacks on our
freedoms and rights, which were originally set forth by our
founding fathers in the state and federal constitutions.

CCPR will support candidates that share our views on
property rights but will remain non-partisan. Furthermore,
CCPR takes neither a pro-development nor anti-growth
position and welcomes all who support property rights to join
us.

Our Goals
  • Make sure the property rights position is represented to
Board of Commissioners in all decisions.
  • Strive to ensure the Land Use Plan is reasonable,
legal and regarded as a guideline, not the final word in
    zoning.
  • Inform members of opportunities and threats, and
mobilize membership to action as necessary.
  • Build alliances with other groups who reject eminent
domain abuse and the taking of property rights.
